Damasus Middle School, We are the ship the story of African American Baseball

The We are the ship the story of Negro League Baseball is about gifted athletes and baseball players who had to go through a lot of struggles just to play the game they loved. The majority of the story is about a lot of the unsung heros who aren't as popular as other players ex. Jackie Robinson. Who overcame segregation, hated, poor living conditions, and low play just to play baseball. One cool feature a bout this book is it feels like it is a story being told by by a Negro League Player. I would recommend this book to any baseball fan.

  1. Damascus -- Very sophisticated thinking here when you notice the author's decision to tell the story from the perspective of a player in the league. Well done -- can't wait to read more about your summer work!
