The Call of the Wild

This book is about a dog named Buck who is taken from his easy, lazy days, and made into a slay dog for men on the search for gold in the Klondike. He must learn how to be cunning, smart and quick to survive. He becomes the lead slay dog of his group. But after his owners are arrested he is sold, to two brothers, who are very inexperienced, they run out of food quickly and continue on while the ice melts. Buck gets in trouble and is beaten relentlessly by his masters, but right when his light of life is burning out a man inter veins and takes Buck. Buck finds a new thing inside of him, love. He turns out to be a great slay dog and wins a bet giving his owner lots of money. They then go looking for a lost mine, which they never find but they do find lots of gold and become extremely rich. While the gold is being mined Buck has lots of time on his paws (Ha Ha See what I did there)  and is drawn towards the wild which he resists because of his loyalty. In the end buck learns that he is the ultimate predator and gives in to the call of the wild.
I recommend this book to any one who likes an adventure that's realistic and amazing. I also recommend this to anybody because it's amazing and cool how Jack London talks about how the dogs are thinking and it feels like he interviewed them. This book was the best or one of the best books I have ever read. Please read it.
